Science & Space Center Summer Camps

Science based camps are given during the summer months. The science center provides laboratory experiences most summer schools can’t. Children work with real scientific apparatus to find data. Another Science & Space Center strength is the mixture of nature activities, demonstrations, games, plus fourteen acres of hiking in a safe environment. Children ages five & six years old attend for one week, 9:00am to noon, August 4 through 8, 2008. A mid-morning snack is provided. Those aged 7 & 8 years old have a choice of either a week of science labs or a week of space camp. Both are filled with great science experiences. These camps are: Space Camp from July 7 through 11, 9:00am to 4:00pm and EcoScience Camp from July 14 through 18, 2008.

The older students, ages nine through eleven, also have a choice of two types of camp: Space Camp from July 21 through 25, or EcoScience Camp from July 28 through August 1, 2008. Both are full day camps from 9:00am to 4:00pm, everyday. All campers aged 7 through eleven must bring their own lunches, the Science Center provides a morning and afternoon snack.

These camps fill quickly. Members are allowed to enroll first. Camp dates and titles may change.
