Visitor Tips
To ensure a pleasant experience, call ahead to confirm hours, programs, events and/or location at (916) 264-7059. Baby changing stations are available in all restrooms, which are located on the first and second levels of the Museum. Wheel Chairs are available at no charge and can be checked out at the Front Desk. Leave time to visit the Museum Store to find nostalgic toys, educational books and unique gifts. The Museum’s collections may be photographed and filmed for non-commercial use. For commercial use, click here well in advance of your visit to obtain permission.



Museum Etiquette
Please refrain from using your cell phone inside of the Museum. This will make for a pleasant experience for all guests. Please turn your phone off, or put in silent or vibrate mode. There is no food or drink allowed inside of the Museum.
