Yarn Bombing Installation Guidelines

1.       Select a feature from the listing that you and/or your group wish to yarn bomb. (There may also be additional features available for sponsorship that are not included in the current listings. You are welcome to visit the Museum to view and inquire about these features.)
 

2.       You are welcome to visit the Museum grounds to view available selections or to take further measurements of your selection.
 

3.       Call the Museum to reserve your feature and make the $25 sponsorship donation. You may also make your reservation and donation at the Museum front desk.
 

4.       Plan your installation:

a.       All installations should be attached in a temporary, non-invasive manner in accordance with Yarn Bombing best practices.

b.      Be whimsical! Have fun! But -- please ensure that your installation is family-friendly.

c.       Installations may be set up on Friday, June 8, or before 10 am on June 9. Please check in at the front desk before beginning your set-up. (You must bring any necessary equipment you need to install your artwork yourself.)

d.      Installations will be on public view for 2 weekends.

e.      Please remove your installation between 4:30-5pm on June 17, or before 4:pm on June 18.
 

5.       Each installation will have a title/artist card. Please call or email the Museum with the title of your installation and, if you choose, your Yarn Bomber alias. 6.       You are welcome to come to the Museum grounds, set up your lawn chairs and demonstrate/work your craft on June 9 & 10  between 10am – 4:30pm to celebrate International Knit & Crochet in Public Day, and International Yarn Bombing Day. Snacks & refreshments are available for purchase at the Museum store, or at nearby restaurants.
