Activities Calendar
Science discovery weekends
So much science, so little time.
Each weekend, the Museum explores a new science topic through special displays, visiting exhibits, and guest presentations—followed by free craft activities for kids 12 years old and under!
Crystal Creations
Feb. 20 and 21, 2010
12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Have you seen the new exhibit, Gee Whiz Geology? Right now the Museum is packed with dinosaurs, rocks, giant crystals, and fossils in need of investigation. Picture opportunities abound! Kids 12 years old and under even get to make their own take-home 3-D crystals.
Terrifying Tyrannosaurs
Feb. 27 and 28, 2010
12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
There's a T-rex on the loose! Explore the Museum’s grounds to track down giant dinosaur footprints and learn all about this prehistoric creature, then come inside and visit the Gee Whiz Geology exhibit. You can also enjoy family fun by creating various T-rex crafts. And don’t forget to snap a photo with our dinosaur-costumed visitor!
