Have an Out-of-this-World Birthday
Sit down, take a load off and let the Discovery Museum do the party planning for you.
The Party Package Includes:
- A twenty-minute private Planetarium Star Show.
- Twenty-five minutes learning time in the museum’s exhibit area.
- A fun space-related activity.
- Exclusive use of a space theme decorated party room.
- A visit from Cosmos (when available.)
- All plates, cups, utensils and napkins.
- A party host/ hostess who will assist you with the party set up, stay with you throughout the party, and be your museum guide.
- A special gift for the birthday child.
- Admission for twenty children and chaperones during party hours. (Does not include any other general admission except as stated above.)
You Provide:
- Birthday cake
- Food & refreshments (kitchen facilities not available.)
- Any additional decorations.
Reserve Your Party:
Birthday Parties are available Tuesday through Friday 2:30pm to 4:30pm, and Saturdays 10am to 12pm. Make your reservation early—space is limited and dates fill quickly. You may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to your party time to set up. Parties must end promptly, please.
Cost:
- Members: $200
- Non-members: $250
Includes the cost of an annual membership for 2-5 family members. Membership packet will be available to pick up on the day of the party.

- To make a reservation, please call (916) 575-3942 or e-mail events@thediscovery.org.
- Your reservation is guaranteed only after full payment is received.
- You will receive a confirmation in the mail after your payment is received. This includes a confirmation letter and a schedule of your party’s events.
Cancellation Policy:
- Party may be rescheduled once for any available date at no cost.
- Cancellation fee is $30
- Party cost is non-refundable two weeks
