Outreach Programs

Can't make it to the museum for a class field trip? Don't worry - we'll come to you! The Discovery Museum Science & Space Center offers a variety of outreach programs for grades K through 6. 

Outreach Program Fees for Grades K-1

All Outreach programs for grades K-1 are 45 minutes in length.
Programs take place in the classroom. One class is allowed per presentation, and there is no combining of classes. The cost is $175 for one outreach program presentation, $250 for two outreach programs, and $350 for three outreach programs. If you are booking two or three programs, they must be the same presentation and on the same day. Programs outside the Sacramento City limits may include additional fees for travel. Outreach programs are not offered to schools outside a 50-mile radius from the museum.

Outreach Programs Fees for Grades 2-6

All Outreach programs for grades 2-6 are 60 minutes in length. Programs take place in the classroom. One class is allowed per presentation, and there is no combining of classes. The cost is $200 for one outreach presentation, $300 for two outreach programs and $350 for three outreach programs. If you are booking two or three programs, they must be the same presentation and on the same day. Programs outside the Sacramento City limits may include additional fees for travel. (Outreach programs are not offered to schools outside a 50-mile radius from the museum.)

If you do not have the space to host an outreach program, we can present it for you in the Museum classroom. Please call for arrangements.
